November the first day 1750 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [In the left margin] Hennaretta Joyner Will I Hennaretta Joyner dweller in the Southampton County being at present Sick and Weak in Body but perfect in sense and memmory [sic] calling to mind that it is once ! appointed for all die think fit to make and Constitute this my last Will wherein I give and bequeath my worldly Goods which it hath Almighty God to bestow on me in - manner and forme as followeth first I bequeath my Soul to God that gave it and my Body to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner Item: I give to my son Arthur Joyner seven head of Hoggs and a new feather bed and a Cow and Calf ....................
